Russian Lesson 1

Some people on the Facebook group (check out Building Up the Byzantine Family on Facebook, by the way!)  have expressed an interest in taking a look at the hand outs that I have made up to teach my little girls their prayers in Old Slavonic, so I thought I'd share them with you here.  My fifth grade twins, truth be told, have already had a year of studying the cyrillic alphabet and basic Russian vocabulary words.  This year, instead of learning to say such things as, "Это стул, а это стол",  I thought it would be more beneficial to them to study phrases that they would actually have the occasion to use, on Sundays!  In Church!  Talk about social reinforcement of their lessons!  Much more like it!
In light of our recent lesson on how to properly make the sign of the cross, we decided to begin with learning how to do so in Slavonic!  I have tried my best to provide phonetic pronunciation for those who are unfamiliar with the Cyrillic.  I hope it is helpful!  Here was our second lesson...the first one was an alphabet review.
